We know, we know: Halloween feels like yesterday and we’re just barely into November. But Thanksgiving is a few short weeks away and there's plenty to be done. Stressed? Don’t be! You can find everything you need at—where else?—Target and Target.com.
With so many traditional treats to choose from, ranging from turkey to green beans to broccoli, we called on Cat Potter, a product development scientist at the Target Test Kitchen, to give up the inside tips for making your Target Thanksgiving full of savings, success and simplicity.

What to do if you’re… short on time: “Target guests should have our pre-prepped vegetables on their Thanksgiving tables,” said Cat. “From Archer Farms Shaved Brussels Sprouts to Archer Farms Sweet Potatoes, these time-saving veggies are pre-washed, pre-cut and ready to go into your Thanksgiving dishes as soon as you open the bag.”
What to do if you’re… passing on the pumpkin pie: “Since joining the Target Test Kitchen in 2010, I have worked on more than 500 recipes and prep directions,” said Cat. “My favorite is the Cranberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake. I developed it a few years ago and it took me over 10 tests to get it just right. It’s a golden, rich loaf adorned throughout with shiny red cranberries, and it’s shingled with crispy toasted almonds—some of my favorite fall flavors.”
What to do if you’re… not digging your décor: “Grab some beautiful entertaining items like Threshold’s Grateful Oval Serving Platter, Metal Hammered Serving Trays and Leaf Napkins—they’ll add the perfect festive touch to your table. Target is truly a one-stop shop for affordable, simple and unique Thanksgiving solutions,” she said. Another pro tip? Arrange chilled items—like meats and cheeses—on a Marble Serving Tray and pop the whole thing in the fridge until you’re ready to serve. The marble will keep the food cool and fresh for a while, and it’s a pretty décor piece.
