Some Target guests enjoy their holidays in the snow, while others spend the season basking in the sun. Regardless of where you’re celebrating, Target’s got options fit for festivities across the country!

To show off on-trend styles Target offers, from brands like AVA&VIV, Mossimo, Merona and Who What Wear, we got in touch with our style friends from California to New York and had them assemble holiday-inspired looks to align with their holiday plans. Take a look at the chic results and get their tips, below:

“I love to layer, especially in the fall and winter! A cute, neutral cardigan is definitely a wardrobe staple. Add a festive, checked scarf and your holiday look is complete!”

“The velvet trend is super popular right now, so I thought this dress would be perfect for the holidays! Add a feminine pair of heels and a bright red lip and you'll definitely make a statement this season!”

Tanesha Awasthi of Girl With Curves
San Francisco

“From its midi length, to its ultra-feminine chiffon fabric and gorgeous dark floral print, this floral midi dress is equally girly and bohemian, perfect with booties or flats for day and easily dresses up for a night on the town. Best of all, it's flattering on all shapes and sizes.”

“Goodbye little black dress, hello little bold dress! From its long blouson sleeves to its faux leather contrast trim, waist cinching silhouette and bold tone, this easy-waist dress pairs perfectly with over-the-knee boots or pumps for evening, and looks just as effortlessly stylish with tights as it does without.”

Gabi Gregg of Gabifresh
Los Angeles

Pairing fuzzy sweaters and jackets with distressed denim is a great way to get the cozy chic look during the day. Jewel tones are my go-to, and this mustard blouse is super flattering (you can tie the ties into a bow for a little extra holiday fun). Velvet is even more popular this holiday season than usual, and these booties are versatile enough to wear with anything!”

“In addition to the great print, this cute dress has sheer sleeves and faux leather trim. I'm obsessed with over-the-knee boots right now, and these faux-suede ones are perfection (and they stretch to fit larger calves!). When I wear over-the-knee boots, I like the hemline of my skirt or dress to hit about an inch above the top of the boot to show just a hint of skin.”

Wendy Nguyen of Wendy’s Lookbook
New York City

This velvet blazer is the perfect piece! It has a lush texture and a classic silhouette, which is perfect for the holidays. A great way to elevate a day look is by pairing similar textures together. This velvet blazer and these textured pants when coupled together gives off the feel of a modern power suit.”

“This wrap dress is beautiful for office parties and perfect for a girls’ night out! Also with midi dresses, I like adding a thick belt to help accentuate the waistline and lengthen the overall look. When wearing all black, I love adding pops of color (red on my lips and gold accents in the accessories) to give more depth.”

Brighton Keller of Brighton the Day

“I'm a big believer in classic, neutral looks that are cozy, but not over-the-top holiday. Continue to wear what looks good on your frame, but opt for neutral or darker colors during the holidays.”

“I love to play with textures and accessories for the holidays. Make sure each evening outfit mixes textures—chiffonvelvetsuede, faux fur—or has a fun accessory like a bow or sequin clutch!”

Daniela Ramirez of Nany’s Klozet

Who says florals are only for spring and summer? Opt for a darker floral for the holidays and pair it with plum lipstick for a festive day outfit.”

"Velvet is THE holiday staple for 2016. The texture is great for evening parties because it exudes an air of luxury and romanticism. My go to look for holiday parties in Miami is a flirty, short dress with over-the-knee boots. Over-the-knee boots are a must-have for the colder months, even if you live in not-so-cold weather! They are sexy, fun, go with everything, and work from day to night.”
