Target’s Food + Future team made a splash at yesterday’s South by South Lawn (SXSL) festival, hosted on the South Lawn of the White House to unite creators, innovators and organizers. The team spent the day interacting with attendees and sharing details about three projects from its collaboration with IDEO and MIT Media Lab, all created to help people understand more about their food and where it comes from. Target’s chief strategy and innovation officer Casey Carl and entrepreneur-in-residence Greg Shewmaker were on-site for the big day to talk about the future of food, solving challenges in the industry and building food-related businesses.
