Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge (aka The Fabulous Beekman Boys) have long been a source of farmhouse inspiration. From their farm-to-table recipes to the homemade products sold at their upstate New York farm, they’ve always been about making the “simple life” even simpler—while keeping it super stylish. Now, they’re taking their rustic charm to a new frontier: Josh and Brent are bringing a new online exclusive Beekman 1802 FarmHouse home collection to Target!

Inspired by the history and aesthetic of the Beekman farm, the collection offers nostalgic pieces that guests can incorporate into their homes to introduce a touch of Americana. (Think sun-faded quilts, ticking stripes, embroidery and more!) And with the line encompassing everything from dishes to bedding, home décor enthusiasts can add a bit of wit and whimsy to every room in the house.
To get the full download on the collection, we chatted with none other than the Beekman Boys themselves. Read on for their decorating tips, design inspiration and favorite picks from the line:
What excites you about bringing your new home collection to Target guests?
BR: So many people are inspired by our life at Beekman 1802 Farm because they too dream of living more beautifully and more simply. We are excited to bring such a complete collection—from the top of your table to the foot of your bed—with incredible attention to detail, quality and value to those who are just starting their dream home or those giving their dream home a new look.

What was the inspiration behind the collection?
JKP: Whether we are designing one of our books, a new recipe, or a piece of furniture, our inspiration always begins with the farm. But we spent a good portion of our professional lives in New York City, so our rural experience now is definitely filtered through the lens of our time in the city. We try to approach the simple life with a little bit of sophistication.

Which items in the home collection resemble real items you’d find in rooms at the Beekman Farm?
JKP: People often ask us if we use the products that we create, and the answer is a resounding “YES.” The first product we ever created—a bar of soap using the goat milk from our farm—came about because we were building a self-sustaining farm. There’s not a single product that we have ever created that is not in use or could be in use in our own home. Even the dentil molding on some of the furniture pieces in the FarmHouse collection is inspired by the detail work on our own farmhouse, the bed linens are inspired by vintage linens in our own home, and the whimsical animal designs sprinkled throughout the collection were actually created by artists using the animals at Beekman 1802 Farm as the models. We personally can’t wait to hang the red and green barn-style pendant lights throughout our barn and garage.

When guests decorate their homes with these new items, how do you hope it will make them feel?
BR: If we’ve done our job correctly, then anything that a Target guest brings into their home from the Beekman 1802 FarmHouse collection will seem like it has always been there (and always will be!). It is such an honor to have someone invite us into their home this way. To have the opportunity to be a part of family memories being made for years to come is a privilege that we don’t take lightly. Thanksgiving dinner will be served from these plates. First kisses will be shared on this sofa. This lamp could shed light on the next great American novel.
The Beekman 1802 FarmHouse collection will be available on Target.com starting Sept. 14, with prices ranging from $14.99 to $599.99!
