It's the first week of August, and Target lifestyle expert and ready-for-anything mom Camila Alves has already checked "back-to-school shopping” off her to-do list! The loving mother of three stopped by her local Target to stock up on cool supplies for her kids. Some school list highlights? Goodies from the new Bethany Mota line of notebooks and desk items, exclusive Puma backpacks, Cat & Jack clothing and so much more!
"My kids are all different with their style—anything sparkly or aqua colored for my daughter, and the boys are into outdoor-looking gear. Items like the glitter plastic pencil pouches and assorted notebooks, and all of the gear with camouflage designs, are right in line with my kids’ style,” Camila said.
Camila and her kids love the Target Embark Jartop Backpacks, Crushproof Lunch Boxes and the new exclusive backpacks and lunch boxes from Puma. The best part of all? Target's one-year backpack guarantee. "Kids put backpacks to the test, way more than we expect,” Camila said. "With the one-year guarantee, parents don’t have to worry.”
"My kids also love to express their individuality so I love that Target has a variety of items, including paint markers, washi tape and the new line of Bethany Mota DIY supplies, that let kids personalize all of their notebooks and supplies,” Camila said.
"Packing a nutritious school lunch is really important to me, because I know that will affect their performance throughout the day,” Camila said. “Of course, I love to include Yummy Spoonfuls pouches in their lunches, from the new line of frozen organic baby and toddler food I helped create at Target. They are great for any age, my kids especially love the apple, banana and blueberry flavor."
The night before the first day of school, Camila and her family have a sweet ritual to help soothe any first-day jitters: "I make a special homemade meal before the first day of school,” Camila said. "We have an early dinner and talk about what they are excited about and what they are scared about, so everyone is comfortable and fears are gone for the first day. My kids go to bed early so they are well-rested. I actually start the early bedtime routine the week before school starts so their bodies can be used to it!"
