Since day one, Target has been passionate about helping the communities we serve, and we’ve also made a commitment to supporting wellness—so it’s always extra-special when we’re able to do so together with some of our own (incredibly stylish!) partners.
Last week, we were proud to sponsor the Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) annual fundraiser in Austin, Texas—a two-day event hosted by MJ&M founders, actor Matthew McConaughey, musician Jack Ingram and ESPN analyst Mack Brown benefitting a handful of important children’s charities like CureDuchenne, HeartGift and the just keep livin’ Foundation (jkl).
In fact, jkl was founded by Matthew and his wife Camila Alves, our beloved Target lifestyle partner, as a means of empowering high school students through after-school fitness and wellness programs. Target’s Jeff Jones, Laysha Ward, Anne Dament and Dustee Tucker Jenkins stepped out to support MJ&M and to bring at little Target style to the event.
The festivities included an annual gala, performances from country superstars Dierks Bentley and Kacey Musgraves, a fashion show and luncheon (Target provided GiftCards to the kids who participated in the event, and the kids were thrilled to don their new Target duds) and more. Target also hosted a special cocktail reception where our beloved mascot Bullseye made an appearance!
Camila not only helped raise critical funds for an important cause, she looked fab in Tar-zhay while doing so.
“This is a very important event for Matthew and me and we take special care to ensure every last detail is perfect,” Camila told us. “I had my outfits picked out but needed some finishing touches, so I popped in to Target before the events. I always find just what I need and this time was no different—the jewelry and clutch I found went perfectly with the looks I had planned!"
