Guests have been feasting on Cheeky tableware – literally – ever since the line launched exclusively at Target back in 2014. Need a refresher course? Cheeky’s the bright and punchy disposable line of plates, cups, napkins, bowls and cutlery that not only makes a statement on your table, but also helps people in need: When you buy a pack, Cheeky donates one meal through Feeding America.

And now the brand has invited Bri Emery, founder and editor of DESIGNLOVEFEST, to the table to design a limited-edition collection of goods. The result? A pastel, polka-dotted #cheekylovefest! Take a look:

Why did you decide to partner with Cheeky?

I love the fact that Cheeky is providing people with a design-centric product while helping people in need. Hunger in America is a topic that needs more awareness, so I’m thrilled to be part of such a great cause while offering a line that adds some fun to people’s lives.

What was the inspiration behind the designs you created?

I have always been very drawn to the Scandinavian design aesthetic, so a lot of the inspiration came from that—the pale pinks with minimal black and white designs. It feels timeless to me, and I knew they would be great for many different occasions. But I also LOVE color and quirk, so we found a way to have both!

What did the design process entail?

I worked closely with a Cheeky’s Creative Director and came up with some concepts, visuals and sketches so that we could be on the same page. We started out with tons of designs and worked our way down. Next up was choosing our pantones and getting everything to look cohesive, which sometimes means cutting out designs you love that just aren’t a match with the rest.

Do you have a favorite print or pattern from the collection?

I love the prints that feature phrases like “Cheers” and “Good Vibes” because a lot of the times paper plates are meant for a gathering or party, so we wanted to create some designs with the option of a celebratory phrase. But I like to think they can just brighten up an everyday Monday lunch too!

The DESIGNLOVEFEST for Cheeky collection is available now in select Target stores and on Target.com. Each item is only $3.99!
