Say hello—again!—to style bloggers Gabi Gregg, Chastity Garner-Valentine and Nicolette Mason. Last July, our three fashion friends stopped by Target HQ to give us feedback on designs for the AVA & VIV Spring/Summer 2016 line. And this winter, the fashionistas came back to preview (and try on!) the end results, while previewing upcoming collections and providing more of their expert feedback.
“The jacket I wore was one that we actually saw last summer while the spring 2016 collection was still in the concept stages, and we were all so excited about the fabric, soft drape and color,” said Nicolette. "At that point, the jacket was quite a bit longer, and we all suggested it be slightly more cropped; it was exciting to see that suggestion made its way to the line! I'm also in love with this white midi, bohemian-inspired dress. I love anything that I can put on and feel chic and pulled together with little fuss!”
The AVA & VIV warm-weather line is ripe with colorful prints, dark and light-wash denim, bohemian dresses and a variety of swimsuit styles to flatter every figure.
"I'm really loving flare jeans right now, and was so excited to see AVA & VIV had them this season,” said Gabi. "When we went to HQ, they were considering only producing a dark wash, but we asked to have them in a lighter wash too and I was so happy they did. I paired them with a flowy, printed top and showed some skin for a '70s vibe."
“I chose the white dress, because it looked so crisp and comfortable,” said Chastity. "There's nothing like a clean white garment to make even a relaxed piece look polished. The fit and flare style works great on most body types, including my own. While at Target headquarters, I remember expressing love for how chic this dress is without trying too hard. If you are looking for that perfect summer dress, this is it.”
