Live From New York! Fashion Week Scoop, Exclusively For Target From The Daily Front Row

This week, Target is teaming up with The Daily Front Row (The Daily)—the premier source of Fashion Week intel. Below, The Daily put together a trend report covering day one of New York Fashion Week, sharing street style highlights and ways to get the look for less at Target.

The Scene at the Shows: Day One

Welcome to chic week—better known as New York Fashion Week.

BCBG kicked off the shows with a celebrity-stocked affair that drew model Petra Nemcova, actress Sami Gayle and actress Bailee Madison. Next up: Creatures of the Wind, which unveiled serious tweeds and structured outerwear. The front row included actress Natasha Lyonne, who was dishing with our reporter on “OITNB" and more, and blogger-turned-actress Tavi Gevinson. And television personality Caitlyn Jenner is in town; she popped by Vanity Fair's offices earlier this week for a brief bonjour with the crew behind her now-legendary cover. Expect to see her all over social media.

The Scene on the Streets: Day One

It's been a blissfully mild winter, but just in time for #NYFW, frosty weather decided it was time to make an appearance. For the first day of shows, editors, models, and assorted front-row types enjoyed the opportunity to trot out their finest outerwear. In contrast to the bright jackets that were ubiquitous in seasons past, softer shades of off-white, beige and grey were de rigueur, with unexpected textures like tweed and fur adding extra style points.
