It’s only been a matter of months since we shared the news that designer, author, blogger and top-ranked pinner Joy Cho would be releasing an adorable collection of nursery and home decor items at Target. This week, her must-have bedding sets, dotty string lights and more arrived in all stores and online (hip, hip hooray!). We can’t get enough of her bright, playful prints, and thanks to the new Oh Joy! for Target layette collection—inspired by Joy’s two young daughters—there’s even more to love.
“New moms already have enough to worry about—finding matching baby clothes that are stylish and fun should not be one of them,” says Joy. “As a busy mom with an eye for design, home and baby collections were a natural choice for me. Parents appreciate anything that simplifies the day-to-day, so the line offers items that mix and match well.”
The layette collection features versatile clothing, bibs, hats and booties that come in 37 cheerful prints and patterns you may recognize from the home and nursery lines. The entire collection was designed to make dressing your babe simpler (and more fun!) than ever. “If a top gets dirty,” Joy advises, “swap it out for a different style or print from the collection and continue on with your day. You’ve got more important things to worry about!”
To help wrap our heads around this cuteness overload, we ducked into Joy’s home (swoon) to see how her ever-expanding Target collection is part of her everyday life.
“I love a good gallery wall, so I replaced some of my old prints with the framed wall art and added in the LED neon heart light to break up the frames,” Joy explains, detailing the different ways she updated her living room with pieces from her new home collection. “I added some throw pillows to update the couch. The heart ottoman doubles as a coffee table, and my daughter Coco loves climbing up onto it because it’s sturdy yet soft!”
“My daughters and I share a love for brightly patterned, whimsical prints that are unpredictable and cheerful,” says Joy. “I love the flamingo and dotty prints that tie back to our nursery collection, as well as the torn paper pattern that matches a pillow in our home décor collection. Coco loves it too!”
“I wanted to create a collection that offers stylish options in home décor, nursery and layette that bring a little more joy into the everyday for grown-ups and little ones alike,” says Joy. And if the expression on Coco’s face is any indication, she did exactly that!
