Usher x Yoobi

What Do Target and Usher Have in Common? Yoobi!

What do you get when you combine Yoobi – Target’s exclusive school supply brand – with entertainer and philanthropist Usher and visual artist Jonni Cheatwood? That’s easy: A line of school supplies full of personality, original artwork and a whole lot of cool. Summer may be just underway, but we think this new collection is more than enough reason for you and your kids to get excited about heading back to school!Yoobi pulled out all the stops on this latest collection by tapping Usher to curate and Jonni to design. With splatter print journals, notebooks and binders, paint-dripped dividers, folders and pencils, and line-sketched lanyards, spiral notebooks and composition books, this print-based assortment gets nothing short of an A+. Parents, take note that with pops of pink, blue, green, black and yellow, there’s something in here to give every kid the chance to kick off the school year in supplied style.

Yoobi helps extend a feeling of pride and ownership to kids across America. Keeping with the brand’s mission, for every Yoobi item purchased, one item will be donated to a classroom in need.

“To be a future leader, you have to have an education. If you want an education, you need the proper tools,” says Usher. “Imagine the kid who fails to come to school because he doesn’t have the supplies he needs, doesn’t want to be picked on and doesn’t think he has what it takes. This collaboration provided an opportunity for me to be creative, and to help those kids be creative, too.”

Usher, Jonni and Yoobi took things to a new level when they went to Hillcrest Elementary School in Los Angeles and surprised the students with boxes full of Yoobi supplies. The reaction? Totally star-struck. Check it out:
