Last month we broke the news: Eddie Borgo is heading to Target. Now, the Eddie Borgo for Target look book has arrived, and it’s not just the galaxy-inspired disc bags and backpacks that have us calling the collection “out of this world.”
This eclectic set dares you to get edgy, artistic and, yes, charming (get it?) with metallic customizable necklaces, bracelets, belts, bags and more. Create a look that’s truly you with the rad spread of studs, totems and charms you can add, remove and swap as you please.
In less than a month the collection will make its debut and we’re giving Target guests (that’s you!) a peek at the look book in full. Inspired by the craft culture of 60s and 70s, Eddie’s pieces create astronomical style opportunities for everyone from DIY divas to the edgiest fashionistas, with its unique mix-and-match pieces and hand-assembled geometric parts.
“We created components that all come apart and go back together – everything’s convertible,” said designer Eddie Borgo. “I’ve never seen this type of collaboration in the marketplace. It’s the first of its kind.”
The star of the look book is a face you may recognize from past covers of international fashion magazines: Poppy Delevingne. The “it” girl admits with a smile that shooting the look book was an amazing experience that led her to fall in love with several of the pieces she modeled.
“I have a few favorites,” says Poppy. “The gold choker, because when I create my own designs, I like to add a lot of the studs, a lot of the gold totems; the galaxy-inspired backpack, because I think that’s really beautiful; and the round clutch bag that’s covered with all sorts of charms and totems. It’s all very clever.”
