Romantic Cities Target

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and you know what that means? Love is in the air! And, according to Target, certain U.S. cities express that “lovin’ feelin” in different ways.

For example, if their shopping habits are any indication, Target guests in Staten Island and the Bronx take “sweets to the sweet” to a whole new level, bling is the thing in Minneapolis and shoppers in Toledo, Ohio favor fresh-cut roses in a really big way.

How do we know?

We looked at 2014 sales data for hundreds of Target stores across the country within the following categories: Wine (yes, more than 1,100 Target stores sell wine!); RosesValentine’s Day candy (think: heart-shaped boxes of chocolate and Conversation Hearts); Frosted Valentine’s Day Cupcakes from Target’s bakery and, last but not least, Jewelry.

Find out where all the love is – based on the top selling store locations – in the graphic below!
