Target and Google Bring Mobile Fun to Your Target Run with Bullseye’s Playground

There’s going to be more mobile fun in your Target run this December, thanks to a partnership between Target and Google’s Art, Copy & Code team.

Today, Target and Google announced the debut of Bullseye’s Playground, a first-of-its-kind holiday mobile game experience that features Target’s mascot bull terrier, Bullseye. Guests can play Bullseye’s Playground anywhere from their mobile devices – for free.

The game also allows guests to activate special codes located throughout all U.S. Target stores to unlock new levels and characters. And at a handful of stores, guests can experience an immersive, 3-D adventure with Bullseye’s Playground as they walk the aisles with Google’s prototype Project Tango Development Tablets.

Of course, while Bullseye’s Playground is designed to surprise and delight guests, this is also about exploring how mobile and digital technology will increasingly be used in the future to enhance and augment the in-store shopping experience. Here are some of the key details:

Bullseye’s Playground (available Dec. 2 – Dec. 31)
Get your head in the game with Bullseye and friends! Head to target.com/play on your mobile device to access six gaming experiences — for example, you can go sledding with Bullseye, race around in a Hot Wheels car or serve up beverages at a hot cocoa party. Check out your local Target store for special signs that provide hidden codes to unlock new levels and characters.

Be the ultimate team player this holiday season: Every time you play a game in Bullseye’s Playground, Target will donate $1 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, up to $1 million. Game on for good!

While we think you’ll love the snowball fight in the mobile game, you may find yourself ducking or feeling like you have frostbitten fingers if you’re one of the lucky guests who get to use Google’s Project Tango Development Tablets. These tablets transform your favorite store aisles into a rollicking 3-D winter wonderland. Stroll the store, tablet in-hand, and watch as the scenarios and characters on the screen change as you move.
