With almost 10 years of industry experience, five platinum albums under his belt (and cowboy hat) and a current nationwide tour with Florida Georgia Line, singer Jason Aldean is no stranger to the spotlight.
The breathtaking Red Rocks amphitheater literally set the stage as we chatted with the country star about his sixth studio album, “Old Boots, New Dirt” out Oct. 7.
The album features three exclusive tracks for Target: “Too Much You For Me,” “Fast Lanes” and “Ain’t No Easy Way.” Though Jason says his new album has more of a pop/rock sound than a traditional country beat, he assured us that it’s definitely the same old Jason just changing things up a bit – hence the album title.
Here’s what Jason had to say about the exclusive Target tracks:
“Too Much You For Me” is about one of the toughest parts of going through a breakup in a small town – seeing little reminders of your ex everywhere you turn and constantly reopening old wounds.
“Fast Lanes” takes things in an opposite direction talking about a guy who can’t seem to settle down and runs every time he starts to feel something for a girl.
“Ain’t No Easy Way” is about that moment when, after trying desperately to save a relationship, it finally just hits you – you have to end it.
Are you already wishing it were Oct. 7? Us too. While you wait, pre-order Old Boots, New Dirt on Target.com and check out what Jason has to say about his musical journey, below.
