Take what you know about Comic Cons and replace the superheroes, wizards and Chewbaccas with throngs of costumed Hello Kitty superfans. That’s a lot of hair bows—but staging the world’s first-ever Hello Kitty Con is the perfect way to celebrate the global pop icon’s 40th Anniversary. And the party starts tomorrow.
As the landmark event’s presenting sponsor, Target (and our beloved Bullseye, a.k.a. Hello Kitty’s new BFF) will be front and center. Held at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in downtown Los Angeles, the Hello Kitty Con runs Oct. 30 – Nov. 2.
To kick things off, Target is co-hosting a VIP preview tonight, complete with a red carpet filled with celebrity guests and Target DJ Harley Viera-Newton spinning music. Attendees will be treated to a surprise musical performance and receive the best swag ever: a limited-edition Bullseye plush doll.
