It’s that time of year again, school is back in session, leaves are changing colors, temperatures are dropping and the holidays are just around the corner. And with the holidays come traditions. You know what we’re talking about – family, friends, festivities and hiring 70,000 seasonal team members.
“Last year, we worked with our existing team to first offer the additional hours to our team. We then were able to staff smarter bringing on 70,000 team members to help us through this exciting and busy season. That worked so well we are approaching this holiday season in the same manner,” said Tina Schiel, executive vice president and chief stores officer, Target. “We just kicked off our holiday hiring and soon we will begin rolling out more than 1 million hours of training to our teams so they are ready to help us unload the 250 thousand trucks that will bring products to our stores, unpack the 288 million cartons of products, and hang 90 million signs for the season! But the best part is work we will do to deliver a great guest experience to millions and millions of Target guests while the holidays come to life in our stores”
