Today, Target is excited to announce its integration with Apple Pay, a new mobile payments service that will provide an easy, secure and private way to make purchases from iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

With Apple Pay, guests using the Target app for iOS will be able to conveniently and securely make purchases with one touch using Touch ID.
 
“We know mobile is becoming the front door to Target, and we’re focused on creating the best possible mobile experiences for our guests,” says Jason Goldberger, senior vice president of Target.com and Mobile. “We’re thrilled to support Apple Pay to streamline how our guests pay in the Target app – this absolutely makes purchasing from Target’s mobile app easier than ever.”
 
Apple Pay is easy to set up and checkout can happen with a single touch, so there’s no need to repeatedly fill out lengthy account forms or type in shipping and billing information. Users can make their selection and when ready to buy, use Apple Pay to complete the transaction.

Apple Pay will be available in the Target iPhone app in October in the U.S. with a free update to iOS 8.
