TargetExpress

The first TargetExpress opened its doors to guests last week, but Minneapolis isn’t the only city where Target’s latest small-format store will set up shop. In 2015, TargetExpress will come to the San Francisco Bay Area with multiple locations, as well as the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul, Minn., to continue catering to urban guests looking to get in and out without the long lines and navigation challenges.

Why these two markets? They’re spots where a quick-trip store experience is likely to appeal to guests, and they expand TargetExpress into other urban trade areas. These stores will follow a format similar to Minneapolis’ Dinkytown location, with everyday essentials and unexpected must-haves as part of an assortment tailored to each neighborhood.

“Looking for a grocery store in Dinkytown? We’ve got one right here in TargetExpress,” says Karl Anderson, store team leader. “We have a wide array of grocery items including fresh produce, meat, deli, dairy and a wide variety of grab-and-go items for those quick on-the-go trips.” Join Karl on a behind-the-scenes tour of the new store.
