Yoobi school supplies

One for you, one for me. That’s the mission of Yoobi, a Target-exclusive line of school supplies that launched at Target June 1. Thanks to the innovative new brand, available all year long in stores and at Target.com/yoobi, guests and their families can support classrooms in need as they stock up on their own school gear.

The colorful collection includes folders, notebooks, pens and rulers, all for less than $10. For every Yoobi product purchased at Target, a product is contributed to a package that’s distributed to K-3 classrooms. To determine where the donations will go, Yoobi partnered with Kids In Need Foundation to identify approximately 30,000 U.S. classrooms that have the greatest need for fundamental school supplies. That means an estimated 750,000 kids will receive free Yoobi school supplies during the 2014-2015 school year.

“We are proud to partner with Yoobi, launch their one-of-a-kind product line exclusively at Target, and give our guests another easy way to make a positive difference in the lives of others,” says Jill Sando, senior vice president, Home, Merchandising. “Their fun, colorful products and community mission are something we know our guests—and their kids—will be excited about.”

The Yoobi brand was founded by Ido Leffler, a longtime partner and friend of Target who also founded Yes To, a natural health and beauty brand that’s part of our Made to Matter – Handpicked by Target collection. Check out an exclusive interview with Leffler at A Bullseye View, Target’s online magazine.

Yoobi’s community mission aligns perfectly with Target’s commitment to education and putting more kids on the path to high school graduation. Since 1946, we’ve given 5 percent of our profit—which today equals more than $4 million per week—to communities, and we’re on track to give $1 billion for education by 2015.
