When it comes to getting the right products to guests quickly, Target’s Distribution Centers play a major role. That’s especially important when it comes to transporting fresh food. To ensure our guests find high-quality, fresh produce when they visit Target stores, we’ve invested in Food Distribution Centers (FDCs).
This month, Target is opening a new FDC in West Jefferson, Ohio. Here are five quick facts about the FDC and Target’s Supply Chain:

The West Jefferson, Ohio, FDC will support more than 250 U.S. stores and employ more than 100 team members.

The FDC sits on 47 acres of land and is 438,000 square feet, making it Target’s largest FDC to date.

The FDC will support Target stores in nine states: Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia and West Virginia.

In addition to West Jefferson, Target has FDCs in Lake City, Fla., Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Denton, Texas.

The West Jefferson FDC plays an important role in Target’s grocery strategy. By the end of 2015, Target will have expanded grocery offerings in almost all stores.
