You already got a little taste of what’s to come on Shakira’s upcoming self-titled album when she released her sultry duet featuring Rihanna, “Can’t Remember to Forget You.” We’ve been listening to it on repeat ever since and we assure you that’s not the only big collab she’s serving up.
The award-winning singer is also teaming up with Target for her tenth studio album, and will be the brand’s first major artist partnership of 2014.
Available at Target.com for pre-order now, Target’s exclusive deluxe edition of Shakira’s album hits stores on March 25 and features three bonus tracks.
“There were three special songs I recorded for ‘Shakira’ that I decided to save for the version of the album available only at Target,” said Shakira.
Shakira fans can get a taste of the partnership with Target’s broadcast commercial (look out for the signature red Target mic!) to kick off exclusive album pre-orders, which debuts during the 56th Annual Grammy Awards® on CBS on Sun., Jan. 26.
Directed by Marc Klasfeld, the Target commercial was shot this winter in a centuries-old church in a small town outside of Barcelona, Spain. Without the benefit of a modern heating system, the well-bundled crew appreciated the “heat” from Shakira’s powerhouse voice and signature dance moves — including hip shaking, of course.
