At Target, we integrate sustainability into everything we do: designing our products, building our stores, and even shooting our TV ads. Since 2009, we’ve has teamed up with EcoSet Consulting, a company that specializes in reducing waste from TV and film sets. So far, they’ve helped us keep almost 177 tons of waste out of landfills.
This fall, we invited several nonprofits—including some serving homeless families and veterans—to our fifth annual Dream Big/Shop Big event, where they picked out still-new holiday decorations and toys that were used in our commercials. The donations go to organizations like L.A. Family Housing, where Target trees and decorations have made their shelter a little brighter for the season, while toys, dishes and other items have helped formerly homeless families make a new start.
