Shopping for your pet at Target just got better. With pet owners making up more than 70 percent of our guest households, we want to provide them the best shopping experience possible. That's why we're reinventing in the pet department of our U.S. stores.
Improving the guest shopping experience is a big part the refresh. We’ve created distinct dog and cat areas. For example, both wet and dry dog food are grouped together, so guests with dogs can find all the pet food they need in one place.
More than 1,000 stores have new in-store displays. Navigation fins on the sides of the aisle help guests locate the dog and cat sections. Large signs feature clean, high-quality photos of animals. In fact, Target worked with famed animal photographer Sharon Montrose to bring the cute campaign to life.
Another big rollout is Freshpet, a popular brand of refrigerated dog and cat food. Many guests want fresh, healthy food in Grocery, and this extends to pets. Now guests can find Freshpet products in a special illuminated cooler in more than 600 U.S. stores.
