The Way Up: How 6 Target Athletes Went from Playing Around to Pro

Astronaut. Fireman. Teacher. Judge. Professional athlete.

When you’re a little kid, parents often say, “You can be whatever you want to be when you grow up!”

For many of us that means faraway fantasies of careers that become elusive as we make the transition from children to adults. But for some, those naïve ambitions are a prediction. Such is the case for six Target athletes including Ryan Dungey, Kolohe Andino, Carissa Moore, Paul “P-Rod” Rodriguez, Rosalind “Roz” Groenewoud and Torin Yater-Wallace.

They may have traded in suitcases for bikes, boards or skis, but they still go to work every day.

Premiering April 30, Target presents “The Way Up,” a new series profiling the pro athletes on action sports YouTube haven, Network A. Each of the six episodes will focus on one athlete, showcasing their rise to stardom and their defining moments on the track, at the beach, on the hill or in the streets.

Viewers will hear these stories in a way never told before, thanks in part to another athlete behind the lens—skateboard icon and filmmaker Steve Berra teamed up with Target for the incredible series.

Check back here on April 30th for the first episode featuring motocross star Ryan Dungey!
