What would you do if Justin Timberlake walked up behind you? Would you freak out? We certainly would, and that’s exactly what a few of his biggest fans did on set of the latest commercial for Target’s exclusive album of “The 20/20 Experience.”
The ad features 20 super fans that were chosen to sing Justin’s new songs, only to be surprised by the superstar on set.
Target reached out to Justin’s fan groups in the L.A. area for the commercial and ended up with an impressive group of enthusiastic, talented fans—from teens and moms to aspiring singers who are, and continue to be, inspired by Justin and his evolution as an artist.
Shot by music director Marc Klasfeld, the ad has the same creative style as Target’s first ad with Justin that premiered during the GRAMMY’s. Always one to improvise, Justin changed it up each take and solicited great reactions from the many surprised fans.
Excitement was palpable on set, and, like his super fans, we’ve also caught the anticipation bug for the March 19 album release!
The night before the album’s debut, in partnership with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, Target will bring even more exclusive content to Timberlake fans at an album release party. Broadcast live from L.A. on 175 Clear Channel stations and streamed via Yahoo!, fans can take a peek into the party, including an interview with media man Ryan Seacrest and a performance by Justin.
And we’re not done yet! On March 19, the day of the album’s release, Justin will take over all format-appropriate Clear Channel radio stations and websites and iHeartRadio.com to play his favorite music and tracks from his new album, so be sure to tune in.
