Target Michael Buble To Be Loved

Award-winning singer and songwriter Michael Bublé is giving fans more to love this year—the Canadian crooner just announced an exclusive deluxe edition of his highly anticipated sixth studio album, “To Be Loved.

Available only at Target beginning April 23, the exclusive version of the album includes three bonus tracks and is available now for pre-order at Target.com.

“The album is filled with songs that I’m just really excited to get out to the fans,” said Bublé.

Below, we talk more with the singer about “To Be Loved,” his third Target exclusive album.

How have you evolved as an artist on this album? I’m in a very happy place in my life now. My state of mind while recording this album is reflected in the music.

Why partner with Target to release an exclusive edition album? I’ve always had a terrific relationship with Target, so my manager and I wanted to give them something really unique.

Tell us about the three exclusive tracks on this album. While in the studio with my producer Bob Rock, we worked up a swing-style version of the first single “It’s a Beautiful Day,” which we thought was really special. It seemed crazy not to include it for my fans. The second song “Melancholy Baby” is one of my family’s favorites, so I’m sharing it with my Target family as well.  I also did a version of The Ronette’s “Be My Baby” since I loved the Phil Spector “Wall of Wound” from those days.

What are you most proud of about this album? I’ve grown as an artist and was excited to explore new territory with some more soulful songs by some of my personal favorites like The BeeGees, Jackie Wilson and Elvis Presley. I also co-wrote four of the tunes, which is twice as many as usual. The new tunes and the old ones all seem to fit together really well. I know artists say this all the time, but I think it’s the best record I’ve ever made.
