Prabal Gurung for Target was inspired by a love story. Designer Prabal Gurung created a chic collection to reflect those big relationship moments—from the first kiss to meeting the parents.

To celebrate the launch of the collection on Feb. 10, Target brought the love story to life on Pinterest through sequential pins posted quickly to engage guests who were on the channel in a fun, unexpected way.

The love-inspired ad campaign, starring actors Olivia Thirlby and Chris Conroy, was replayed in slow-mo through shoppable images of the commercial. Pin by pin, guests could follow along and shop as the couple found their way to love through photos that showcased many of the looks in the collection.

“The Prabal pinning experience was an exciting new use of Pinterest,” says Amy Pfingsten, Senior Manager, Marketing, Target. “It was the perfect platform to share these beautiful images with our followers and bring the commercial to life in a fresh way. Plus, who doesn’t want to see Olivia and Chris fall in love all over again?”
