When Target first announced that Gwen Stefani would be designing a kid’s collection last year, we were all ready to revert to childhood.

Even if we can’t fit in the clothes (sigh), we still think each set of Harajuku Mini for Target is more adorable than the next. We can’t believe Gwen and Target are celebrating one year of Harajuku Mini already! Remember the nautical-themed set? Or the strawberry-filled spring set? Of course we can’t forget the latest—the monstrously cute collection of Halloween-inspired threads clad with mummies and skeletons.

And for the holidays, Harajuku Mini is back and brighter than ever. Boasting luxurious fabrics and festive details like velveteen, sequins and glittered tulle, the new set was inspired by the twinkling trends of the season.

While touring for “Push and Shove,” the No Doubt singer/designer/busy mom found time to chat about her inspiration for the new collection, available in stores and Target.com Nov. 4.

Check out the collection below, and read on for our interview with Gwen.

What inspired your designs for this collection?
Gwen Stefani: I went with a “Fancy Pants” theme for this collection. As always, I love black and white, so I wanted to figure out a way to incorporate all the fun trends of the season, and mix and mash it up with my trademark houndstooth pattern.

What are a few of your favorite pieces from the holiday collection?
GS: I’m obsessed with the sequined star pattern dress—it’s the perfect party dress. For boys, I love the houndstooth suit with French terry sleeves paired with skinny houndstooth pants, or the twofer woven shirt with houndstooth vest and a blue bowtie. Such a cute look!

You’re a year into your partnership with Target. What’s in store for the second year of Harajuku Mini?
GS: I can’t give anything away just yet, but Target guests will continue to see more super cute designs so get ready!
