In the Kitchen: Margarita Monday

We took a cue from summer’s sweetest fruit—watermelon—for a frosty treat with a kick. This frozen watermelon margarita recipe is the perfect blend of sweet and sour, and can be tweaked to suit your taste. Mix up your own version by adding in flavored tequilas.

Frozen Watermelon Margaritas
Makes 4 servings

What You’ll Need:
1/2 of a seedless watermelon, cut and cubed
1 cup tequila of your choice
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup orange liqueur
1-2 tablespoons confectioner’s sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups ice

What You’ll Do:

1. Cut watermelon into cubes.

2. Puree 1 1/2 cups cubed watermelon in a blender.

3. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.

4. Divide among glasses. Garnish with lime and watermelon, and enjoy!
