Our northern neighbors will finally have the chance to get their “paws” on Jason Wu for Target. Whimsical prints, feminine frocks and designer Jason Wu himself will be at a pop-up store in Toronto’s fashion district on Feb. 23 from noon until quantities last! The first 25 in line at the pop-up store will get to meet Jason and take their photo with him and the beloved Target terrier, Bullseye.
That’s right. You can shop Jason Wu for Target… with Jason Wu. “I’m so excited that my Canadian fans will have a chance to experience this collection for the first time,” says the designer, who grew up in Vancouver.
Earlier this month, the limited-edition line launched to much fanfare in the United States. Stars like Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Chloë Moretz and Jamie King all wore Wu at the collection launch event. On Feb. 5, guests lined up outside Target stores nationwide and the collection sold out in a matter of days.
“We’ve been looking for an opportunity to bring our new Canadian guests a taste of what they can expect when we open our first stores in 2013,” said John Morioka, senior vice president of merchandising, Target Canada. “The buzz surrounding Jason’s line for Target has been incredible. And, given his ties to Canada, we thought this collection would serve as a great introduction to Target’s take on affordable design.”
Target has been planning the pop-up store for quite some time and hopes Canadian fans will covet the collection just as much as Wu’s American aficionados. To prep for anticipated demand, a separate batch of merchandise was previously ordered, so as to not take away from product that would have been sold in the States.
A sneak peak at the construction of the pop-up store

The pop-up store will feature an assortment of the Jason Wu for Target collection (ranging from $10 to $45 CDN), and a special tote bag designed exclusively for the Canadian event. Target will donate an amount equal to 100 percent of sales from the pop-up store event to United Way Toronto. Shopping for a good cause? We’re happy to help!
To make sure everyone gets a piece of Wu, Target will limit purchase quantities to three items per guest. Guests in line will receive updates about what’s going on inside the store and hot chocolate to keep toasty. See you there!
Pop-up store opens at noon on Feb. 23 at 363 King St. West; Toronto, Canada.
