2010 - Flowers galore at the Liberty of London for Target pop-up store in NYC

We love a good pop-up store.  They’re cute, festive and a mini-version of the stores you already love! And at Target, we jump at the chance to pop up in new places and venues for new people.

In December 2002, we introduced one of the first ever pop-up stores with Target Boat at Chelsea Pier in New York City. Over the years, we’ve celebrated holidays, designer collaborations and upcoming, exciting events with limited-time-only stores.

Our pop-up stores may be temporary, but they leave quite an impression. Each shop is uniquely designed and decorated into an unforgettable store so you can get excited about upcoming collections and events. We’ve even had pop-up stores on boats and double-decker buses!

Tomorrow, we’re headed to New York for a hypnotic pop-up store in honor of NYC’s Fashion’s Night Out and the Missoni for Target collection, and you’re invited! Stop by to shop a special preview of the collection before it arrives in stores on September 13 and be greeted by none other than Angela Missoni and Marghertia Maccapani Missoni.

We’re keeping all the zigzaggy décor details a secret! So for now, check out some of our past pop-up shops below, like our Alice Temperley popup in London back in 2007 or last year’s Liberty of London shop in New York.
