JESSICA: I have always very much wanted to make sure that there were opportunities for girls to not only get educated but do something with what they know and what they're capable of, and AnnieCannons, for me, was a way to start with the hardest problem, get some of the women who've had the least opportunity, some of the people who've had the least opportunity in this world and really get a chance to see them shine.

JESSICA: AnnieCannons is a program, an ecosystem, that transforms survivors of human trafficking into software professionals.

JESSICA: We give them access to information about coding and tools they can use to learn coding, but all that they need to become great programmers is already within themselves. Our challenge is giving them the confidence to believe in themselves and keep going where the rest of the world has really told them this isn't a space for them.
